...A Long Overdue Training Resource for
Rural Church Leaders

year at our fixed locations impractical due to
cost, time, and distance for most of your
leadership? Are leadership seminars impractical
for you, your leaders, and teachers? Perhaps a
single annual course from our BTC mobile will
better meet your needs.
...In-service Training for Your Church
leaders
BTC Mobile brings quality in-service training
to your church leadership by offering three of
the nine BTC courses in a condensed weekend
formats that we bring to you on a schedule that
works for your people. Each BTC mobile course is taught
over one or two weekends. They are mainly geared
for church leaders who do not choose to attain a
BTC diploma but wish to sharpen their skills and
focus in ministry.
...Cost Effective
The total cost per course
is worked out with the RMBM office and will
depend on the following factors.
1. Manual Fees $15 per
manual (when applicable)
2. Travel, room and board
costs for instructor
3. A general course fee to
cover RMBM administration and bookkeeping
expenses.
...Simple. Here's a Sample
Course: Bible Study Methods
(BSM) or hermeneutics. This course lays the
groundwork for improving the skills of leaders
and teachers in the art and science of Bible
interpretation.
1. After contacting and
negotiating course details and cost with the
BTC, course manuals will be shipped to the host
church.
2. Students read and
complete the course manual prior to the class
weekend.
3. Class meets 3 hours on
Friday night, all day on Saturday with host
church providing lunch, and (if convenient) part
of Sunday.
Theological Matters:
BTC is a non-denominational ministry, but all
our instruction is in accord with the RMBM
doctrinal statement. BTC instructors will be
teaching each course in harmony with this
document. While our doctrinal statement does not
address every theological point, we want to
encourage everyone inquiring into this program
to communicate with us candidly if issues such
as the gifts of the Holy Spirit, King James
only, homosexuality, or other potential
differences in doctrinal viewpoint might be of
concern.
Host Church: A BTC
Mobile program will only be held in an area
where there is a host church and a local pastor
or leader who will be a responsible contact
person and local class administrator. The local
site administrator (host) will be responsible to
negotiate fees and schedules with RMBM, forward
information between instructors and students,
help instructors with room and board
requirements, and provide necessary classroom
facilities.
Room and Board:
Unless an instructor is accompanied by his wife,
BTC instructors will require either motel
accommodations or other unoccupied housing. This
is a safety and propriety policy adopted by BTC
and many other ministry organizations. Boarding
(meals) may be provided by local hosts to reduce
the overall course fees.
Class Size: A BTC
Mobile class will only be conducted where the
local church or churches have a minimum of four
students committed to each class. The reason for
this standard is that the courses have a class
participation component which does not function
well with fewer students. Also, BTC Mobile is
earnestly targeting church boards and leaders as
groups which will most benefit from this
resource.
